Singer Sewing Machine Timber topped Occasional Table - not available
Everybody loves the old singer sewing machine tables. We have had a few of these old metal sewing machine bases hanging around the Paint Me Vintage workshop and it was time to put one to use in a project and create an industrial vibe occasional table. The cool thing about this table is that the foot pedal still works which is pretty quirky. The found table top is a native timber which has been taken back to raw wood and then rubbed with Vintro Dark wax, this not only nourishes the wood but gives it a great colour while leaving the natural markings of the wood and the life it has had to shine through.
Paint Process:
For best results sand off any existing varnish or paint if you want to achieve this look.
In small sections rub dark wax onto the raw wood using a suitable wax brush
Rub off the excess with rags and buff to a slight sheen if desired
