A lovely find this was an old English shelf unit which had lots of hidden details behind that dark original finish

Process

Before and After: We have been painting with the Limited Edition colour Chrysler which is a neutral with a soft grey blue colourto it. We changed the colour up a bit with some layered wax combos. This piece started out with glass doors and a dated English Oak look. It had lots of great details and carvings and the paint and low lights created with the wax has really made them shine.

Painted all over using a texture paint technique then top coated in a mix of Dark wax with Dove vintro chalk paint together so it gave an aged grey look. We have added just a hint of white gold gilding wax for some highlights. He now has an air of age and sophistication.
