This lovely well made old hall table had a lovely carved flower feature on the back up-stand but was looking very dated in its original state. We applied our French Chateau paint effect to bring back its personality.

Paint Process

Painted all over in Vintro Crystal chalk paint we then applied a full layer all over of Vintro Dark wax and wiped back the excess. A thinned crystal whitewash was applied over this and then clear wax topcoat to expose the layers of colour and to create age and interest. The original knobs were removed for painting and then gilded in a champagne colour with a touch of gilding in odd places on the wooden body too.
