Modern Hall Table Makeover with Paloma - no longer available
We found a very modern looking hall table which is not our typical style but we were sure we could work with it as solid wood. We have created some details by adding in some resin appliques we cast from an old IOD mould we had to give it a bit more personality and we removed the old modern handles. Painted the piece all over in Vintro Paloma Chalk paint which is a stunning Grey - Lilac tone a favourite colour and added parts only of the Parisian letter redesign transfer to the front top. Piece has been finished in tinted waxes of Cloudburst and Wild Heather. We changed the handles up too for something more aged, we had these hanging around from a previous piece. Never throw away those old bits and pieces as you never know when you might need to use them!
Paint Process:
- Apply Efex moulds or cast some resin moulds and glue to your piece with ADOS contact glue or Selleys all fix. Dry
- Paint the piece all over using a slight texture motion with Vintro Paloma chalk paint
- Apply part of the transfer to the piece ensuring piece is very dry and totally dust free
- Wax the entire piece using Cloudburst and Wild Heather tinted waxes, wipe off excess as you go
- Touch spots with White Gold gilding wax as desired
- Voila!
