Here is our reveal on our broken down clock, I am so inspired by this project I have been searching out some others to do as well as on the look out for "unusual" things to paint as they are really satisfying projects. She has a lot of details and they all popped wonderfully with a textured chalk paint finish and dark and clear wax. She still does not tell time and never will but due to her fantastic details she looks great as a display piece. Not for sale yet but maybe shortly.
Paint Process:
Sealed with 2 coats of Extreme Satin Vintro Lacquer as the black finish bleed terribly into the white paint. We then resumed painting using a very textured paint technique with Vintro Champagne Waltz Chalk paint.The decorative detailing is parts of the golden writing from Somewhere in France typography Furniture transfer and florals arefrom the Rose Celebration Furniture transfer which blend beautifully together. This piece was then finished in some Vintro Dark and Clear wax for variation and edges in gold gilding wax.
